One of the two greatest FUCK OFFs in cinema along with Clarence Beeks in Trading Places.
The only thing he has been good in and written since Fawlty Towers was A fish called Wanda.and that was in 1988.
He needs a good writing partner and he had them in Graham Chapman, Connie Booth and Charles Crighton.
If this comes to fruition it is going to be terrible.

Cleese’s greatest performance was in Life of Brian

Re: John Cleese is doing a Fawlty Towers reboot
Was Cleese ever really a Hammer, or was that just a rumour spread about on here.

FT was genius, this will just be fucking embarrassing, and he’ll regret it as soon as it’s aired.

I enjoyed the red dwarf reboots, it helped that it kept the remaining cast

My Uncle used to be a taxi driver.

He was based in Ashford, Middlesex.

He was a cunt.

'Clarence' made Open All Hours look hilarious.

My ex mother-in-law was an actress. She had a very minor role in Clarence. She was a flipping bitch.

Re: John Cleese is doing a Fawlty Towers reboot
Ronnie Barker was a genius, and a brilliant wordsmith, brilliant writer, brilliant comedy actor.

But Open All Hours was shit.

I stand by my words.

Re: John Cleese is doing a Fawlty Towers reboot
Should never be done. Clearly Cleese has run out of money. Why else would you do this at his age. You cant have the humour you did back then. Everything is too woke, unacceptable and offends somebody.

zico 9:43 Wed Feb 8
Re: John Cleese is doing a Fawlty Towers reboot
Problem is Connie Booth co-wrote it and of course you had other great characters Cleese could bounce off. That was half the problem with OFAH. They got lucky with Uncle Albert replacing Grandad but once he had gone they didn't have the stooge so to speak. Trying to think of any comedy reboot that was half decent!
